Products synced to 365 micro markets receive a VDI ID. A VDI ID does not operate in the same way as a Product Code.
A VDI ID primarily serves as a unique identifier indicating that a product has been successfully synced between systems, but it also has other functions:
- Tracking Sync Status: The VDI ID helps track the sync status of products, ensuring that changes made in one system (Gimme or 365) are accurately reflected in the other.
- Conflict Resolution: In cases where there might be discrepancies or conflicts between product data in Gimme and 365, the VDI ID helps in identifying and resolving these issues.
- Reporting and Analytics: The VDI ID can be used in reports and analytics to track product performance, inventory levels, and other key metrics across both systems.
- Error Handling: If a product fails to sync properly, the VDI ID can help in diagnosing and troubleshooting the issue by providing a reference point.
- Data Integrity: By maintaining a unique identifier for each product, the VDI ID ensures data integrity and consistency between Gimme and 365.
