What is VDI?
VDI stands for Vending Data Interchange. This integration allows a VMS (Vending Management System) and a MMS (Market Management System) to interchange data.
Can I VDI enable my micro market with Gimme?
Currently, Gimme has VDI Integrations with 365 and Avanti.
Gimme does not have integrations with other MMS, including Company Kitchen and Smart HQ.
How and when do I get started?
You want to start the process of VDI enabling a market as soon as possible. The process involves coordination between your operation, the MMS (365 or Avanti), and Gimme. We ask that you contact Gimme at least one week before your market goes live to VDI enable it.
See the links below for specific steps to take, but the short answer is that once your market is active in both Gimme and the MMS (365 or Avanti), a market can begin to be VDI enabled, even if it is not going live for several weeks.

What happens if I don't integrate my micro market?
If your market provider does not have an integration with Gimme, it will not communicate with Gimme in any way and will need to be managed using the market's MMS.
If your market is with 365 or Avanti and you do not take the steps to integrate the market, the market will not communicate with Gimme, and products will not scan at the kiosk.
