In Gimme VMS, the telemeter field is not a required field initially. However, once a telemeter number is entered into the POS and saved, the telemeter field becomes a required field and will not allow a future edit that leaves the field blank.
To swap a telemeter number, follow these steps:
- Navigate to the Accounts page using the three-line menu in the top left of the screen
- Using the red POS search menu, enter the POS, VEQ, or telemetry number (you may search for multiple POS by clicking on the POS after searching; then, click the "x" in the search bar and enter another POS identifier.)
- Click Next
- Click on the POS with the telemeter number you are swapping to enter the POS page.
- Use the red menu button on the top right of the POS page and select Edit POS.
- Remove the current telemeter number.
- Replace the telemeter number with a new telemeter number or a unique number or word (you may not leave this field blank)
- Click Next
- Open the second POS to enter the telemeter number you just removed.
- Use the red menu button on the top right of the POS page and select Edit POS.
- Enter the telemeter you removed from the first POS
- Click Next
