How to edit a tax rate

Important:

Editing a tax rate, assigning a POS to a new tax area, creating a new tax rate, etc. is not retroactive

Tax edits by POS Type:

• Food/Vending does not update the selling price of products in a vending machine
  • For reporting purposes, the tax edits will apply immediately. However, if your price includes tax you must make the price changes at the machine level to reflect any increase or decrease based on tax edits
• Delivery will update the tax rate or assigned tax area for all future delivery invoices 
• Micro markets immediately push an update to your micro market provider but the market provider may take several hours to process the changes made in Gimme 

Editing Tax Rates

Taxes screen in Gimme, select a Tax Area 

• Select the top right, red menu button
• Select Edit

Next, select the Tax to edit:

...or the Add Tax button to create a new Tax Rule rate

Select the cell containing the rate to edit

Overwrite the rate % then select Done

Verify tax rate edits were completed by closing Gimme VMS, reopen, and navigate to the Tax Area to review.
